Ridge Lytton Springs 2011 (AG93)
Ridge Lytton Springs 2011
Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma, United States
品種：69% Zinfandel, 18% Petite Sirah, 11% Carignane, 2% Mataro (Mourvedre)
93 points Antonio Galloni (July 2013):
The 2011 Lytton Springs has a wonderful burst immediacy to it, backed up by the structure of the year. This isn't the most nuanced Lytton Springs in recent memory. Despite its considerable appeal today, my sense is the 2011 needs a few more years in bottle for all of the elements to fully come together. The blend is 82% Zinfandel, 16% Petite Sirah and 2% Carignane.
92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (May 2014):
(includes 16% petite sirah and 2% carignane): Opaque ruby. Dark berry and vanilla scents are lifted by smoky spice and mineral qualities and a touch of white pepper. Sappy and appealingly sweet, offering energetic boysenberry and blueberry flavors that become more tangy with air. Silky and assertively spicy on a penetrating finish that leaves subtle floral and mocha notes on the palate.
Chateau La Croix de Gay Pomerol 2009 WE93/WA90/vivino4.1(208
Chateau La Croix de Gay Pomerol 2009
Region: Pomerol, Bordeaux, France
93 pts Wine Enthusiast:
Powerful tannins give this wine its dense, concentrated character. It is dark and dense, very dry at this stage and needing at least 10 years to round itself out. However, the presence of fruit promises a good future.
90 pts Wine Advocate:
A blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc from this well-situated vineyard on the plateau of Pomerol, which is owned by Chantal Lebreton, this wine has 13.5% alcohol, somewhat low in this vintage, but it displays plenty of kirsch, sweet cherries and red currants along with some sandy/loamy soil and roasted herb notes in a very sexy, up-front, lush, medium to full-bodied style.
Cogno Barolo Ravera 2011 WS95/WA93/AG93
Cogno Barolo Ravera 2011
95 points Wine Spectator (Dec 2015):
*Highly Recommended* A clean, focused style, this red shows warmth, balance, structure and complexity, offering classic rose, cherry, tar and tobacco aromas and flavors. with plenty of fruit. Features a fine, intense aftertaste of cherry, mineral and tobacco. Best from 2019 through 2033.
93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Jun 2015):
The 2011 Barolo Ravera does a terrific job of portraying the soft and rich side of the vintage with a slightly more accessible style. The wine opens to dark extraction and bright cherry flavors with spice, tobacco, black truffle, pressed rose petal and licorice. It shows a youthful, vibrant personality with a pristine varietal voice. If you are looking for an opulent, caressing Barolo, this wine fits the bill. The Ravera vineyard is planted to 50-year-old vines that hold up very nicely in warm vintages such as 2011. It has the natural structure and heft necessary for longer aging. (ML)
93 points Vinous (Mar 2015):
The 2011 Barolo Ravera emerges from the oldest vines on the property. Dark cherry, plum, spice, new leather and lavender swirl around the glass in a resonant, generous Barolo that captures the generosity of the year as seen through the lens of Ravera. In this vintage, the Ravera is an especially weightless and simply impeccable in its overall balance. Hints of leather, sweet spices add nuance on the soft yet energetic finish. There is so much to like here. (AG)
Lisini Brunello di Montalcino 2008（WS93,WA92)
Lisini Brunello di Montalcino 2008
93 points Wine Spectator (May 2013): The terrific aromas of strawberry, cherry and currant are accented by underbrush, spice and tobacco elements on the palate in this elegant and intense red, which builds to a persistent finish. Fruit and mineral accents echo on the aftertaste. Best from 2015 through 2030. (BS)
92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Jun 2013): Lisini’s 2008 Brunello di Montalcino is one of the few wines of the vintage that is going to require patience. A big, broad-shouldered wine, the 2008 fills out nicely over time with attractive black fruit, smoke, tar, game and savory herb notes. Although quite virile and imposing today, the 2008 also shows striking inner perfume and a level of sweetness that is likely to require some time to emerge, suggesting the wine has plenty of potential for improvement ahead. The 2008 spent 42 months in French oak, exceedingly long by today’s standards. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2028. (AG)
Chateau Pedesclaux 2005
Chateau Pedesclaux 2005
Pauillac
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc
It was rated 18/20 points by Decanter Magazine and given five stars, the highest rating of all the vintage's Pauillacs (and scored on par with Mouton-Rothschild): "Very pure cassis. Hidden depths - unevolved but self-assured. Terrific intensity of flavour, power and length. Ripe fruit, supremely well-integrated tannin and acidity. A baby. Drink from 2015."
Chateau de Saint Cosme Les Deux Albion 2013 (RP90)
Chateau de Saint Cosme Les Deux Albion 2013
Cotes du Rhone
Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Clairette
90 points The Wine Advocate: The 2013 Cotes du Rhone Les Deux Albions is 50-60% Syrah and the rest Grenache and other permitted varieties. It exhibits classic Syrah character with its sweet dark fruits, pepper, wood smoke and crushed rock-like minerality. Medium to full-bodied, it bucks the vintage stereotype and has a rounded, supple texture, good concentration and plenty of length. Possibly outstanding, it should have a decade of longevity.
Winemaker Notes: Co-fermented in concrete vats as usual, it develops a good density, good color and a length that is usual of a great vintage. 80% of the cuvée was aged in concrete vats, which help to create the best expression. Its fruit full of terroir develops and shows characteristics of gingerbread, strawberries and violets.
Chateau Ferriere 2011
Chateau Ferriere 2011
品種：60 % cabernet sauvignon, 36 % merlot, 4 % cabernet franc
3eme CRU CLASSE EN 1855
The resulting wine has both the power and the elegance. Nice freshness on the nose and palate. The tannins are firms but silky.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VINTAGE
Winter and Spring were dry. Since the beginning, climatic conditions predicted an early vintage. The water deficit worsened a little more up to July and the high temperatures in June made the vine suffered. The Merlot sagged after flowering because of these unusual dryness and heat.
2011 experienced unusual weather conditions that ultimately benefited many Cabernet Sauvignons. The grapes had a very good concentration of phenol compounds and very elegant tannins. The challenge of this vintage was a very strict sorting of the grapes. However, there is a lower yield (- 10%) due to the weather, and the berries were rather small with a thick skin.
Penfolds Bin 128 cork 2015 WA91
Penfolds Bin 128 cork 2015
91 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate (233), October 2017:
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Shiraz Bin 128 has a gregarious nose of cherry cordial, baked blackberries and spice cake with hints of chocolate box and dusty earth. Medium to full-bodied, rich, velvety and open for biz, it has a lovely spicy core and great length. Drink 2017-2024.
Barbaresco Produttori del Barbaresco 2010
Barbaresco Produttori del Barbaresco 2010
Piedmont, Italy
100% Nebbiolo
92 points James Suckling (April 2014):
Beautiful aromas of white truffles, plums and berries. HInts of spices. Full to medium body with fine tannins and beautiful licorice, berry and fennel seed. Very pretty length. Drinkable now but better in 2015.
91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (December 2013):
(as the Produttori has declassified its crus in 2010, there will be 28,000 cases of this blend): Tangy cherry and raspberry aromas are lifted by flowers and mint on the cool, inviting nose. Silky-sweet and floral, with lovely inner-mouth juiciness to its red berry flavors. Owing to the wine's moderate body and flesh, the tannins show a slightly dryness but the long, juicy finish offers enticing floral perfume. A lovely, sharply delineated Barbaresco at a very reasonable price.
Vina Tondonia Reserva Lopez de Heredia 2004 WA94
Vina Tondonia Reserva Lopez de Heredia 2004
75% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, 10% Graciano and Mazuelo
94 points Wine Advocate:
The 2004 Viña Tondonia Reserva is a completely different story. It is a worthy follower of the 2001, the greatest of the Viña Tondonia Reservas of recent times. It has the usual blend and usual levels of alcohol and acidity, bottled after six years in oak barrels. The nose feels savory (if that's possible–umami?) and developed, with tertiary aromas and good balance between spices, leathery notes, cherries and balsamic notes of cigar box and incense. The palate is both round and crisp, with refined tannins. It has very good balance with subtle acidity and very good persistence.
Chateau d'Armailhac 2014
94 points James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, February 2017:
This is very tannic yet polished and firm with currants, bark, and stones. Full-bodied and muscular and linear. Love the length. Beautiful. Try in 2020.
93 points Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, February 2017:
The 2014 d'Armailhac is bright, precise and finely sculpted. Expressive red stone fruit, flowers, mint, chalk and citrus abound in this vibrant, beautifully delineated Pauillac. Open-knit and expressive, with good depth and silky tannins, the wine exudes class. The fresh, invigorating style is classic 2014. This is a lovely showing. Tasted two times.
91 points James Molesworth (Wine Spectator), Wine Spectator, February 2017:
Fresh and pure, but not shy on depth, offering an ample core of cassis and blackberry purée flavors. There's a fine chalky minerality throughout, but overall the structure is polished. Anise and spice notes add range. Best from 2018 through 2028.
Two Hands Lily's Garden Shiraz 2007
Two Hands Lily's Garden Shiraz 2007
McLaren Vale, Australia
94 points James Halliday (7/2009) : Unflinchingly in the biggest is best camp; deeply coloured, with luscious, mouthfilling black fruits and dark chocolate; demands that you share the bottle with three others and order a thick rump steak. Not my style, but well-made.
93 points Wine Spectator (7/2009) : Ripe and peppery, with a spicy note weaving over the black cherry, dried tomato, licorice and mint flavors that keep pulsing through the long, expressive finish. Best from 2010 through 2017.
92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (7/2009) : Saturated ruby. Intensely floral, high-pitched aromas of black raspberry, mulberry, violet and rose, lifted by a pungent peppery quality. Spicy dark berry flavors gain flesh and sweetness with air, picking up a smoky mineral quality and a note of candied violet. Finishes juicy and very long, with berry skin and floral notes.
92 points Wine Enthusiast (2/2010) : Somewhat precariously balanced at 15.7% alcohol, this may not turn out to be the most long-lived Shiraz, but it is delicious for current consumption. The tannins are soft and creamy in texture, while the blueberry and black berry fruit is intensely concentrated, tinged with nuances of vanilla, menthol and chocolate.
91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate ((JM) 12/2009): My favorite of the Garden Series is the 2007 Shiraz Lily’s Garden from McLaren Vale. Purple-colored, it has an enticing perfume of balsam wood, lavender, incense, pepper, bacon, and blueberry. With excellent grip and balance, this smooth-textured, savory Shiraz will improve over the next 2-3 years and drink well through 2020.
Errazuriz Don Maximiano Founder's Reserva 2007 JS95/WA94+
Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve 2007-- Vina Errazuriz 以創辦人為名的頂級酒款 ， JS95(May 2016)/WA94+/vivino 4.4(1440酒評) 。
94+ pts Wine Advocate (Jan 2011): "The 2007 Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve is composed of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Syrah that spent 20 months in new French oak. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it surrenders an enticing nose of toasty new oak, graphite, scorched earth, cinnamon, clove, violets, blueberry, and blackberry. On the palate, it reveals a suave personality that combines elegance and power. Impeccably balanced, it has the structure to evolve for 4-6 years and should provide pleasure through 2027
La Rioja Alta 904 Gran Reserva 2007 (JS97,WA95)
La Rioja Alta 904 Gran Reserva 2007
Tempranillo (90%) and Graciano (10%) from vines over 60 years old in vineyards in Briñas, Labastida and Villalba.
97 points James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, January 2016:
Wonderful purity of fruit with a strawberry, currant and plum character. Full and velvety body with ultra-fine tannins and a delicious fresh and fruity finish. Classic Rioja style. Que lindo! Drink now.
95 points Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate (226), August 2016:
If Viña Ardanza seems to be going fast, the Gran Reserva 904 is even faster and we're now on the 2007 Gran Reserva 904. This wants to be the classic Gran Reserva--polished, silky and elegant, with aging potential. It is a blend of Tempranillo with 10% Mazuelo aged for four years in well-seasoned American oak barrels, with eight manual rackings. I found that the freshness of the vintage and its relatively young age gave the wine a youngish character that I loved, combining developed notes of meat, spices, leather and balsam with almost cherry-like aromas. The palate feels balanced and elegant, with fine-grained and fully resolved tannins and great acidity. This vintage of 904 surprised me! 150,000 bottles produced.
La Rioja Alta is not resting on their laurels, as they are investing nine million Euros in improving their vineyards and winery, including an optical sorting table.
Castello dei Rampolla “Sammarco” 2011 JS95/Vinous 95/ WA94/WS92/vivino4.1(221
Castello dei Rampolla “Sammarco” 2011
Region: Chianti, Toscana, Italy
95 pts James Suckling (Aug 2015):
Aromas of tar, chilis, raspberries and dark chocolate follow through to a full body with super velvety tannins and a long, long finish. Need three years to soften. Another superb blend of sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon from the organic estate in Panzano.
94 pts Wine Advocate (Oct 2015):
The fullness and generosity here is absolutely amazing. The 2011 Sammarco is one of the protagonists of this vintage. In fact, I think Sammarco represents the hot 2011 growing season better than any other wine from the Chianti Classico area. The bend this year is 94% Sangiovese with 6% Merlot (the breakdown between the two grapes is usually 90-10) and the wine is fermented with ambient yeasts. The bouquet is beautifully redolent of dark berry fruit, soft spice, licorice and cola. The wine's overall elegance and length are both impressive.
95 pts Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, October 2015:
The 2011 Sammarco is so youthful it almost tastes like a barrel sample! Dark, rich and inviting, the 2011 possesses notable concentration and depth, with round yet powerful tannins and a surprising level of freshness for the year. A host of black cherry, graphite, smoke, plum and lavender notes accompany the powerful finish. It will be quite some time before the 2011 is ready to drink, but there is plenty to look forward to.
Torbreck The Pict "Mataro" 2006 ST93/WA92
Torbreck The Pict 2006
品種：100% Mataro (Mourvedre)
93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Sept 2009):
Glass-staining ruby. Powerful scents of blackcurrant, dark cherry, olive tapenade and incense, with a musky herbal undertone. Broad, palate-staining dark berry compote flavors are framed by velvety tannins and pick up notes of licorice and bitter chocolate with air. Pretty wild stuff, boasting excellent concentration and finishing sweetness. There are plenty of tannins here but the fruit seems to suck them up. Give this another four or five years in the cellar.
92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Feb 2009):
The 2006 The Pict is 100% Mataro (Mourvedre) aged in 100% new French oak for 24 months. The fruit was sourced from one section of a vineyard planted in 1927. Purple-colored, it offers up an aromatic array of smoky oak, forest floor, black truffle, blueberry, and blackberry jam. On the palate it reveals a brawny, masculine personality with some austerity that should round out with a few years of additional bottle age. It should offer prime drinking from 2013 to 2026. (JM)
Nebbiolo d’Alba Valmaggiore, Bruno Giacosa 2014
Nebbiolo d’Alba Valmaggiore, Bruno Giacosa 2014
Piedmont, Italy
Juicy red fruits dance on a brooding foundation of licorice, exotic spices, warm cigar wrapper, smoky minerality, and pressed flower petals in this approachable, pretty ’14 Nebbiolo d’Alba. Velvety and caressing, this wine snuggles the palate with chewy tannins, making for an elegant, enjoyable drinking experience. Giacosa sources this wine from old-vine Nebbiolo grown in prestigious vineyards by farmers with whom the estate has longtime relationships; it’s crafted to provide an early-drinking yet aristocratic version of the emblematic Piemonte grape.
Marques de Murrieta Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial 2001 Guia Peñín 97/WA94
Marques de Murrieta Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial 2001
94 pts Wine Advocate :
I reported on the current release, the 2001 Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial, previously but underrated it slightly. This cuvee is sourced from a single plot called La Plana planted at over 1500 feet of elevation. It is made up of 93% Tempranillo and 7% Mazuelo chosen for its acidity. The wine is aged for 10 months in new American oak followed by 21 months in seasoned oak. It is then held in bottle for 3-4 years prior to release. Deeply colored, spicy, elegant and complex, the wine has great volume and grip as well as exceptional length. It can be approached now but will easily have a 30 year lifespan.

Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 (RP92) Stained Label
Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham Cabernet Sauvignon 2007
** This wine forms part of Clarendon Hills’ ‘Grand-Cru’ classification.
92+ points Robert Parker: The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Hickinbotham offers the most saturated color. The aromatics feature Asian spices, violets, and incense along with expressive black fruits. Structured and tannic, bordering on austere on the palate, it is a muscular, brawny effort that will require 6-8 years of cellaring to become approachable.
94 points Vinous : Opaque ruby. Powerful aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, smoky minerals, lavender and Indian spices. Deeply concentrated, palate-staining dark berry and bitter cherry flavors are framed by chewy tannins and pick up strong spice and floral notes with air. Still quite young but already expressive, finishing with lingering notes of sweet dark berries and candied flowers.
Reserve de La Comtesse 2010
Pauillac, Bordeaux
品種：51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot
90 Points, Neal Martin, RobertParker.com, February 2013
The Reserve de la Comtesse 2010, a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, has a refined bouquet of dark cherries, plum and blackcurrant fruit that you might describe as "neat and tidy". The palate is medium-bodied with quite a plush, generous entry thanks to that ripe Merlot. It is a forward wine for a 2010, very approachable with a fresh finish. It should drink well over the next 10 years. Tasted November 2012.
89 Points, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (205), March 2013
If you're looking for something much more drinkable, then check out the blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot, the 2010 Comtesse de Lalande, the second wine of this estate. Sweet mulberry, black cherry, licorice, and forest floor notes dominate this medium-bodied, fleshy, soft wine, which should be drunk over the next decade.
90 points Wine Spectator (3/2013)
Vibrant and silky, this slides down almost too easily, with delicious red and black currant fruit laced with hints of anise, violet and black tea. A flicker of singed balsa wood keeps the finish going along.
91 points James Suckling (3/2013)
Very polished tannins that caress the palate. Full body. It's fruity, pretty and refined. The mineral and berry character comes through in a subtle way. Second wine of Pichon Lalande. Better in 2016.
Manoir de Gay 2013 2nd wine of Chateau Le Gay
Manoir de Gay 2013
2nd wine of Chateau Le Gay.
100% Merlot ;aged in oak casks for 18-20 months.
87–89 points Wine Enthusiast:
Barrel Sample. A firm, structured wine, this offers plenty of fruitiness as well. It will develop quickly, with ripe fruit and soft tannins.
2nd wine of Chateau Le Gay, aged in oak casks for 18-20 months. Located in the vicinity of Château Pétrus, this small estate shares history with the property across the road, Chateau Lafleur. The wine is pure Merlot from the younger vines in the field. Made with the same means and the same jurisdiction as “Castle Gay”, the critically acclaimed wine, the second is particularly attractive. Elegant and generous Pomerol, marked by a great fruity flavor, it is an interesting price / quality ratio.
Biondi Santi Tenuta Greppo Annata Brunello di Montalcino 2011
Biondi Santi Tenuta Greppo Annata Brunello di Montalcino 2011
93 Points Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2016:
The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino Annata is silky, soft and open-knit, especially within the context of what has been the norm at Biondi Santi for the last few decades. Freshly cut flowers, red berries and mint all open up in the glass, but it is the wine's decidedly mid-weight structure that truly stands out. The 2011 is a very rare young Biondi Santi that will drink well pretty much upon release, as shocked as I myself am to write those words. The bright red cherry, raspberry and floral overtones have an almost Nebbiolo-sense of brightness. Drink 2017-2031
93 Points Monica Larner, Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate Feb 2016:
Jacopo Biondi Santi was already making wine at Il Greppo when the 2011 Brunello di Montalcino Annata was produced. His father, Franco Biondi Santi, would pass away in 2013 at the age of 91. The winemaking approach is unchanged despite the father to son transition. This wine shows extra richness and texture with focused fruit aromas that are graceful but also powerful. There are hints of ripe fruit with dried cherry and prune buried deep within the bouquet. In the mouth, this Brunello shows good structure and acidity with a slightly denser feel compared to past vintages.
Chateau Haut Bages Liberal 2005 WS93/RP90/NM90/JR16.5
Chateau Haut Bages Liberal 2005
93 points Wine Spectator:
Very aromatic, showing blackberry and currant aromas, with some licorice. Full-bodied, with supersilky tannins and a rich, decadent, fruity finish. Caresses the palate. Stylish and opulent. Best after 2011. 10,000 cases made.
90 points Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (219), June 2015:
The 2005 Haut-Bages Libéral offers loads of blackcurrant fruit, licorice, spice and forest floor. It is medium to full-bodied, with supple tannin and an expansive, textured mouthfeel and finish. Drink it over the next 15-20 years. Drink 2015-2035.
90 points Neal Martin, RobertParker.com, January 2012:
Tasted at BBR’s 2005/2009 tasting in London. The Haut Bages Liberal has a refined bouquet, timid at first but growing in confidence with dark berries, wild hedgerow, truffle and scorched earth. The palate is medium-bodied with a racy entry, crisp blackberry, graphite and bell pepper with a masculine, tannic, chalky-textured finish. It is a little rustic at the moment, but full of character. Tasted July 2011.
16.5 points Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, March 2017:
Tasted blind. Deep crimson. Sleek, well-mannered nose. Lots of graphite quality. Quite distinctive. Fruit and tannins well balanced. Quite long and appetising. Drink 2016-2030
Chateau Marquis de Terme 2009
94 points James Suckling (July 2012):
Bright, full ruby-red. Sexy, syrah-like aromas of blackberry, violet, smoke, game and underbrush. Densely packed and fine-grained, with lovely inner-mouth floral lift to its crushed berry flavors. A very rich and sweet style of Margaux, but the broad, dusty, building tannins call for some cellaring. Boasts excellent length for a wine from this chateau.
93 points Decanter (July 2012):
Sumptuous cassis and blackberry nose, with a good deal of new oak. Sleek, elegant, poised, with great intensity and purity of fruit. There's spice and vigour on the mid-palate, but it's taut, tightly wound, and not very expressive now. The firm tannins contribute to a very long, chewy finish. Evidently needs time.
90 points Wine Spectator :
A bright, ripe style, with very fresh crushed plum, raspberry and blackberry fruit wrapped in silky tannins and laced with hints of anise and black tea. The rounded finish has modest grip for mid-term cellaring. Drink now through 2020.
Barbera d'Alba Ceretto Roberto Voerzio 2013
Barbera d'Alba "Ceretto" Roberto Voerzio 2013
產區：Alba, Piedmont, Italy
90 points Antonio Galloni: The 2013 Barbera d'Alba Cerreto is absolutely delicious, and another reminder of just how special this vintage is for Barbera. In 2013, the Cerreto is a bit brighter than it usually is, with plenty of supporting acidity and fabulous overall balance.
Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino 2012 WA95+/WE93/JS93/WS92
Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino 2012
100% Sangiovese grapes picked by hand from 20-year-old vines
# 2012 is not a vintage to miss for fans of Brunello di Montalcino.
95+ points Wine Advocate:
Il Poggione is a Brunello superstar and a vintage like this reveals every reason why that affirmation is true. From the second the 2012 Brunello di Montalcino pours into the glass, you know you are in for something special. The wine is darkly saturated and rich in appearance. Absent are those slightly amber or browning hues you often get with Sangiovese in a hot vintage. Nor does the wine show flat or tired characteristics. Instead, the quality of fruit is vibrant and rich. This is a healthy, generous and exuberant Brunello with dark density and succulent fruit flavors that are followed by integrated spice and tobacco. The balance is impressive and one thing you get here is fresh acidity. This is not to be underestimated, because the acidity quota in the 2012 vintage across the appellation is not as high or evident as usual. This is one of the year's best Brunellos.
93 points James Suckling:
Walnuts and cedar with plums and hints of milk chocolate. Always subtle. Medium body, a solid core of fruit and medium-chewy tannins. Center palate of cherry fruit. Give it a year or two to soften.
Chateau Poujeaux 1999
Chateau Poujeaux 1999 (cru Bourgeois exceptionnel)
88 points Wine Advocate :
This charming, full-bodied 1999 is a sleeper of the vintage. It reveals beautiful, sweet fruit redolent with notes of raspberries, black currants, and spicy wood. The wine is soft, velvety-textured, yet concentrated, with good delineation. It is a strong effort in 1999. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2013.
Known in the 14th century under the name of "La Salle de Poujeaux", Château Poujeaux has belonged to the Theil family since 1921. Jo Gryn of Gault- Millau magazine describes the wine as follows: "An authentic aristocrat among the great wines of the Médoc, a great growth disguised as a Cru Bourgeois". The château has long had an excellent reputation based on its virtual obsession with quality. Poujeaux is always deep in colour, with a subtle bouquet and soft, silky tannin that is never aggressive even when the wine is young. Château Poujeaux is powerful, elegant, charming and well-balanced. The Theil family's policy is trying to always to improve their wine and to do justice to the estate's outstanding terroir. There is every reason to believe that this excellent estate is headed for an even brighter future
Orma Toscana 2011 JS97/WA93/WE92 / 4.2(530
Orma Toscana 2011
97 pts James Suckling(Oct 2014):
A gorgeous, sleek wine with super-polished tannins and fabulous fruit. It's full but so refined and sexy. It goes on for minutes. Really fine. What a wine. This Bordeaux blend from here is the best ever. Better in 2016 but great now.
93 pts Wine Advocate:
The 2011 Orma (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc) is a fantastic wine that excels on all levels. It shows integrity, intensity and generosity at impressively high levels. This was a warm vintage but the wine still offers an impeccable sense of balance and profound inner beauty. Morello cherry, dried blackberry, leather, tobacco and spice enter the equation. Orma delivers soft tannins and a lingering sense of richness and density.
92 pts Wine Enthusiast:
This full-bodied blend of 50% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc offers aromas of ripe black-skinned fruit, crushed Mediterranean herbs, scorched earth and tobacco. The dense palate doles out black cherries, red currants, cedar, anise and mocha alongside ample, velvety tannins. Drink 2016–2021.
Domenico Clerico Barolo "Ciabot Mentin" Ginestra 2009 RP94/JS93/ST93/WS92/JR18
Domenico Clerico Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra 2009
品種：100% nebbiolo. 16 months barrique, constant tastings allow us to select the best barriques, then assembling barrel.
16 months in barrel (50 hL), +2 years bottles.
94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Jun 2013):
One notch down on the intensity ladder is the 2009 Barolo Ciabot Mentin. Less obvious and definitely more flirtatious, this gorgeous wine playfully dangles subtle hints of licorice, dark fruit, anisette and Middle Eastern spice in front of your nose. They morph and transform into something new and unexpected with each swirl of the glass. There’s enough flesh here to keep the wine grounded, but there’s also enough tonic freshness to keep it from feeling heavy.
93 points James Suckling (Jan 2014):
A beautiful ripeness of fruit here with dried strawberries and sliced mushroom aromas. Full body, with polished and round tannins and a cedar, mahogany and dried berry aftertaste. Needs at least two or three years of bottle age.
93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (April 2014):
Medium red. Less roasted than the Briccotto, offering aromas and flavors of cherry, mocha, coffee and spices. Less fat and full in the mouth but shows more lift and energy. A bit youthfully clenched, but the wine's firm tannic spine and impressive length suggest it will be a beauty with a few years of aging. Despite being situated at high altitude, these are the first Barolo vines Clerico picks. The acidity here is a very healthy 6.3 grams per liter.
92 points Wine Spectator:
A fresh, vibrant red, whose eucalyptus, tea, cherry and leather notes are backed by dense, ripe tannins. Balanced on the firm side, with a coating of dusty tannins on the long finish. Give this some time. Best from 2017 through 2032.
18/20 points Jancis Robinson (Jun 2013):
Commune of Monforte d’Alba. Concentrated ruby with orange tinges. Balsamic fruitcake and cardamom skin. Fine cherry fruit with a layer of coating tannins. Intense, long and with a hint of vanilla. Quite spectacular and modernist but executed with huge skill.
Chateau Poujeaux 2007
Chateau Poujeaux 2007
Moulis, Bordeaux
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc
Château Poujeaux is a leading Cru Bourgeois property that consistently produces wines of Grand Cru Classé quality. Now under the administration of new owner Philippe Cuvelier (owner of Clos Fourtet), Poujeaux has dramatically improved the quality.
90 Points Decanter : This is a rather lovely Médoc, if a touch more restrained that some others here. There is richness to the fruit, but it is tighter, with layers of bilberry and cassis and cedary oak, with attractive menthol notes on the finish. Ready to drink.
