評分: 89 points Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, 2014-10-31 A juicy, forward and textured example of this cuvee (especially when tasted next to the 2013), the 2012 Coudoulet de Beucastel Côtes du Rhône has juicy blueberry, garrigue and lavender notes to go with a fleshy, medium to full-bodied feel on the palate. Soft, with low acidity and a hard-to-resist feel, it has just enough tannic grip to keep it years.

90-92 points Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar Youthful purple. Spicy, highly perfumed dark berry and Indian spice scents show very good clarity and pick up a smoky nuance with air. Densely packed but lithe too, with juicy black and blue fruit flavors and a touch of lavender adding lift. Dusty tannins shape the finish, which clings with impressive tenacity and subtle spiciness. According to Marc Perrin, the vines that provide the fruit for this wine are now over 80 years old.

Château Fortia is not a winery that chases good press on a whim. These are consistent, classic wines that faithfully represent the region’s terroir year after year. The Cuvée du Baron, which combines 45% Syrah with 40% Grenache, and 15% Mourvedre, was created in the memory of the Domaine’s founder, Baron Le Roy de Boiseaumarie. The wine was first released in 2001.

The wine went through a long, cool fermentation in small lots by varietal, then aged 18 months in old oak foudres prior to bottling. Deep garnet-purple in colour, this is a wine with a dense, complex nose and notes of plum and cassis and garrigue on a medium-bodied palate.

This has a solid, juicy core of bright cassis, cherry preserves and bergamot, backed by juicy and finely beaded acidity. Light floral incense and dried star anise notes flitter through the background. A light mineral edge guides the finish. Drink now through 2030.

Cherries and spice mingle easily on the nose of the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Baron, a blend of 45% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 15% Mourvèdre matured in foudre. This full-bodied wine is rich and velvety in texture, with a long, lush, slightly warm finish. It should drink well for up to a decade.

The two 2015s start with the 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée du Baron (no tradition cuvée was presented) and it's a blend of 45% Syrah, 40% Grenache and the rest Mourvèdre brought up all in foudre. Ripe black cherries, framboise, pepper, and garrigue all flow to a nicely balanced, tannic 2015 that has nicely integrated acidity and a solid finish. This is an old-school, classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape that's best forgotten for 3-4 years, and enjoyed over the following decade.

 RP 92  (Oct 2011) : "Domaine de la Mordoree remains the reference point for how good Lirac can be. It is an appellation with tremendous potential, and a number of Chateauneuf du Pape estates are buying up vineyards in the appellation. The 2009 Lirac Cuvee de la Reine des Bois is another star from Christophe Delorme. Loads of kirsch, black currant and crushed rock notes along with a hint of spring flowers are all present in this dense purple, medium to full-bodied, delicious wine, which should drink nicely for 7-8 years."

 WS 91 (Jun 2011): "Ripe but very pure, exhibiting a beautiful mix of damson plum, linzer torte and blackberry fruit all laced with alluring notes of black tea and iron. This is supple on the finish, but with latent length. Should be a good, short-term ager. Seems less reliant on flashy toast than previous vintages. Drink now through 2012."
