Vacqueyras Cuvee de L'Hostellerie, Domaine La Garrigue 2010
Age of vines: 40-60 years. Aging: 18 months in concrete tank.
品種:75% Grenache, 25% Syrah
91 Points Wine Advocate: Traditionally brought up with no concessions to modern winemaking, although it exhibits a touch of vanillin, indicating that some of the Syrah may have been aged in new oak, it is a youthful black/purple-colored wine with elegance, dense, full-bodied power, blackberry, cassis, kirsch and loamy soil notes intermixed with lavender and spice box. This superb, beautifully textured, pure, slightly structured Vacqueyras will benefit from 1-2 years of cellaring, and keep for 10-12 years.
Saturated ruby. Exotic floral aromas of black raspberry and cherry, with a note of pungent herbs in the background. Stains the palate with intense dark berry and floral pastille flavors enlivened by juicy acidity. The floral quality carries through the long, seamless finish, which shows impressive intensity and focus. -Vinous
