Chateau Bourgneuf 2011

In the heart of the prestigious Pomerol appellation, Château Bourgneuf is spread over 9 hectares in one unique holding. Bourgneuf has belonged to the Vayron family since 1840. Eight generations have succeeded each other, transmitting their love for this land and its history.

91 pts James Suckling, February 19th, 2014:

A wine with a pretty ripe-fruit character and ripe, chewy tannins. Some toasted oak as well. I think it needs another two or three years to soften the tannins and bring it all together. Serious 2011 Pomerol.

90-92 pts Neal Martin – robertparker.com:

The Vayron family have conjured a lovely Pomerol this year… I appreciate its purity and feminity… You know, this could be the best Bourgneufs that I have tasted en primeur. Chapeau! Tasted twice with consistent notes.

Chateau La Croix de Gay Pomerol 2009 WE93/WA90/vivino4.1(208酒評)

HK$480HK$450

Chateau La Croix de Gay Pomerol 2009

Region: Pomerol, Bordeaux, France

93 pts Wine Enthusiast:

Powerful tannins give this wine its dense, concentrated character. It is dark and dense, very dry at this stage and needing at least 10 years to round itself out. However, the presence of fruit promises a good future.

90 pts Wine Advocate:

A blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc from this well-situated vineyard on the plateau of Pomerol, which is owned by Chantal Lebreton, this wine has 13.5% alcohol, somewhat low in this vintage, but it displays plenty of kirsch, sweet cherries and red currants along with some sandy/loamy soil and roasted herb notes in a very sexy, up-front, lush, medium to full-bodied style.

Chateau La Pointe 2011 RP90/WS90

HK$:

HK$378HK$350

Chateau La Pointe 2011
Merlot 85% , Cabernet Franc 15%

90 points  Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #212 Apr 2014

This is a strong effort from La Pointe, another estate that seems to be producing better and better wines. A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, the 2011 reveals a dense ruby/plum/purple color, a sweet perfume of black raspberries, black currants, licorice and subtle high quality oak, medium to full body, and an expansive, broad, pure texture. Drink this sleeper of the vintage over the next decade.

90 pts James Molesworth (WineSpectator.com, March 2014):

Very solid, with a ganache spine supporting the enticing dark plum and fig fruit flavors, while bramble and singed wood spice notes fill in on the finish. Approachable now, this should mellow in the short-term. Drink now through 2021. 7,500 cases made.

(March 2012, Primeurs tasting comments by Hubert de Boüard de Laforest): “Deep, bright and lively colour with a dark purple rim. The nose opens out with floral notes such as violet that evolve towards ripe fruits, blackberry and raspberry. The palate is generous and long with a very pleasant freshness. This freshness persists on the finish and complements the lingering notes of tobacco and licorice. The tannins are taut and enveloped in a silky smoothness, a sure characteristic of an outstanding Pomerol. The 2011 perfectly demonstrates Château La Pointe’s reborn style developed over the last few vintages.”

Chateau Lafleur-Gazin 2000

Pomerol, Bordeaux , France

88 pts Wine Advocate:

"A sweet, superficial, but attractive effort, the 2000 La Fleur-Gazin reveals chalky tannin in the finish. A dark ruby/purple color is accompanied by ripe plum, prune, and berry fruit, medium body, and plenty of structure as well as tough tannin. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2014."

Chateau Rouget Pomerol 2005 WS92/WA90/vivino4.3(105酒評)

HK$500

Chateau Rouget 2005

Region: Pomerol, Bordeaux, France

92 pts Wine Spectator:

There's beautiful aromas of violet and other flowers, with fruity undertones. Full-bodied, with round, polished tannins that caress the palate. Long and very balanced. Harmonious. Best after 2012. 2,915 cases made.

90 pts Wine Advocate:

The Burgundy firm of Jacques Prieur, who now owns this Pomerol estate, has fashioned an outstanding 2005 from one of the less prestigious terroirs of the appellation. It is a richly fruit, exuberant, flamboyant wine offering a sensual display of black cherries, sandy, loamy soil, subtle herbs, and spice. Lusciously textured with no astringency, it can be consumed now and over the next 10-12 years.

Clos Rene 2010

HK$:
HK$430
HK$430

Clos Rene 2010

The Clos René, located in the Pomerol appellation, has belonged to the Garde family for more than a century. Jean-Marie Garde currently runs this 18-hectare vineyard planted with 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Malbec. The domain is largely under-valued, considering the quality and regularity of its cuvées. The wines of Clos René are well made, in a classical and elegant style and with a wonderful aging ability, while being reasonable priced.

La Gravette de Certan 2014 JS93/WS90 2nd wine of Vieux Ch. Certan

HK$:
HK$420
HK$420HK$390

La Gravette de Certan 2014

2nd wine of Vieux Chateau Certan.

93 points James Suckling (Feb 2017):

The plum and blueberry character and hints of cocoa are really impressive. Medium to full body and firm and silky tannins. Integrated and so fine. A beautiful thing. Drink now or hold. Second wine of Vieux Château Certan.

91 points Wine Spectator (2017):

Lovely, with a stream of raspberry confiture flowing through, while light mint, star anise and black tea notes weave in and out. The long and refined finish has a light mineral accent, while the fruit sails on. This is quietly one of the best second wines in Bordeaux. Best from 2018 through 2026.

La Petite Eglise Pomerol 2011 年產850箱

HK$:
HK$290
HK$290

La Petite Eglise (2nd label of Ch. Eglise Clinet) 2011

產區: Pomerol, Bordeaux

品種: 100% Merlot

Only 850 cases was produced in 2011, aged in 50% new oak.

89-91 Points Neal Martin, RobertParker.com, April 2012

The Deuxieme Vin of La Petite Eglise is pure Merlot picked on 16th September that is aged in 50% new barrels. It has a refined bouquet with pure blackberry and raspberry with well-integrated creamy new oak that does not impede upon the fruit profile. With time it offers a touch of cedar that is very attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with impressive balance and a silky smooth texture. It has some oak to subsume so it will need 3-4 years in bottle, though it does not have the tension or persistency one can find in the 2009 or 2010. Still, this is very fine and probably will be good value. Tasted April 2012.

95 Points Tim Atkin MW, timatkin.com, April 2012

The second wine of L'Eglise Clinet is better than many châteaux's top wines in 2011. This is extremely fine and aromatic, more open than it often is at such a young age, with sweet fruitcake and red cherries on the palate, filigree tannins and a classy, perfumed finish. It's denser than it seems at first, and should age well. 10+ years.
