Azelia Barolo 2012

產區:Piedmont DOCG , Italy

品種: 100% Nebbiolo

93 Points James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, March 2016:

Wonderful aromas of spices and berries. Chili powder with plums. Chinese spices. Full body, ultra-fine tannins and delicious fruit. Pretty tannin and fruit tension. Drink or hold.

90 Points Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, March 2016:

Azelia's 2012 Barolo is fresh, floral and nicely lifted in the glass. Crushed flowers, sweet red cherries, spices, mint and rose petal lift from the glass in the 2012 Barolo. An excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years, Azelia's straight Barolo is all about balance and understated harmony. The style is gracious, perfumed and weightless, with pretty saline notes that give the wine its sense of proportion. This is one of the best straight 2012 Barolos I tasted. Fruit sources are 70% Serralunga and 30% Castiglione Falletto. The 2012 spent two and a half years in cask. Hail was an issue in Bricco Voghera, so Azelia did not produce a Riserva. All the best fruit went into the straight Barolo.

Barbaresco Produttori del Barbaresco 2010

產區: Piedmont, Italy
品種: 100% Nebbiolo

92 points James Suckling (April 2014):

Beautiful aromas of white truffles, plums and berries. HInts of spices. Full to medium body with fine tannins and beautiful licorice, berry and fennel seed. Very pretty length. Drinkable now but better in 2015.

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (December 2013):

(as the Produttori has declassified its crus in 2010, there will be 28,000 cases of this blend): Tangy cherry and raspberry aromas are lifted by flowers and mint on the cool, inviting nose. Silky-sweet and floral, with lovely inner-mouth juiciness to its red berry flavors. Owing to the wine's moderate body and flesh, the tannins show a slightly dryness but the long, juicy finish offers enticing floral perfume. A lovely, sharply delineated Barbaresco at a very reasonable price.

Barbaresco Produttori del Barbaresco 2012 產區: Piedmont, Italy 品種: 100% Nebbiolo 93 Points Wine Spectator - "A graceful and detailed red, marked by ripe cherry, strawberry, floral and tar flavors, with the fruit intensity persisting on the finish, showing excellent length. This is well-integrated and just needs time for the tannins to soften. Best from 2018 through 2030." 92 Points Vinous / Antonio Galloni - "A big, powerful wine, the 2012 Barbaresco hits the palate with surprising depth allied to nervous tannins that are going to need time to soften. Tobacco, smoke, licorice, menthol, game and a host of dark, ferrous notes give the wine much of its virile personality. The 2012 is not as finessed as some recent vintages, yet it offers considerable potential for the future. Most importantly, it is a terrific value at a time when well-priced Barbaresco is increasingly hard to find. In 2012, the Produttori did not bottle their Riservas. When that happens, the straight Barbaresco is often an overachiever. That is certainly the case here, as the 2012 offers outstanding quality for the money, with plenty of potential for the future. I can't think of too many wines that deliver this much pleasure and value."

Barbaresco Riserva Pora, Produttori del Barbaresco 2008

產區:Barbaresco, Piedmont, Italy

品種: 100% Nebbiolo

95 Points Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate (203), October 2012:

Playing true to type, the 2008 Barbaresco Riserva Pora is another of the more open wines in this vintage. But that is only in relative terms. Layers of expressive red fruit, crushed flowers and spices flesh out in this radiant Barbaresco. In most vintages the Pora is one of the more accessible of the Riservas when young. The close proximity of the vineyard to the Tanaro River results in a warm microclimate that ripens the fruit earlier than elsewhere. In 2008, though, the Pora packs a serious punch. The coolness of the late harvest comes through in a finish laced with considerable tension and minerality. This is easily one of the very best Poras I have ever tasted from the Produttori. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2048.

Barbaresco Vigneto Brich Ronchi, Rocca Albino 1996

95 points Wine Spectator (2007):

Shows fabulous aromas of crushed berries and fresh flowers. Full-bodied, with a powerful palate of fabulous fruit and ripe tannins. Goes on and on. Still a baby. This is superb.--1996 Piedmont retrospective. Best after 2010. (JS, Web-2007)

94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Nov 1998):

Even deeper red ruby color. Pungently spicy, penetrating aromas of rose petal, violet and red berries. Thick, intensely flavored and sharply delineated, with strong acidity and plenty of buffering extract. This has superb material and outstanding grip and persistence. Firm tannins are in perfect balance with the wine fruit. Wow! This is aged in all new barriques, but I never would have guessed it. 94+ (ST)

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Aug 1999):

The large-scaled as well as compelling 1996 Barbaresco Vigneto Brich Ronchi reveals spectacular aromas of intense chocolate-covered cherry candy intermixed with smoky new wood. It is dense and full-bodied, with layers of concentration and glycerin. This superb, mouth-filling Barbaresco can be drunk now or cellared for 10-15 years.

Barbera d'Alba "Scudetto" Mascarello Giuseppe E Figlio 2010

HK$:
HK$280
HK$280

Barbera d'Alba "Scudetto" Mascarello Giuseppe E Figlio 2010 產區:Piedmont, Italy 品種:100% Barbera Appellation: Barbera D'Alba Vineyard: The Scudetto vineyard is within the hamlet of Perno in Monforte d'Alba at 300m in elevation. Orientation: West, northwest 300m in elevation. Soil: Clayey-sandy, composed of brown clay and grey sand of marine origin, with the presence of pebbles and small skeletal particles. Viticulture: Harvested in the first two weeks of October. Vinification: Traditional-style, floating cap fermentation for 15/20 days. These estate-grown grapes are harvested from 60/70-year-old vines with low yields. Aging: The wine is then matured in French oak for approximately 18 months. Notes: The vineyard is named so because its' shape is that of a shield. The Italian soccer championship is also called the Scudetto. Wine Advocate (Galloni): Proprietor Mauro Mascarello makes some of the most compelling, traditional wines in Piedmont. Mascarello’s signature Barolo, Monprivato, rarely shows well when young, yet it has a proven ability to transform magically in the bottle, something I have witnessed first-hand with more vintages than I can remember. The irony is that by the time the wines start showing well they are long gone from the market or have appreciated dramatically in price.

Barbera d'Alba "Ceretto" Roberto Voerzio 2013

產區:Alba, Piedmont, Italy

品種:100% Barbera

90 points Antonio Galloni: The 2013 Barbera d'Alba Cerreto is absolutely delicious, and another reminder of just how special this vintage is for Barbera. In 2013, the Cerreto is a bit brighter than it usually is, with plenty of supporting acidity and fabulous overall balance.

Cogno Barolo Ravera 2011

95 points Wine Spectator (Dec 2015):

*Highly Recommended* A clean, focused style, this red shows warmth, balance, structure and complexity, offering classic rose, cherry, tar and tobacco aromas and flavors. with plenty of fruit. Features a fine, intense aftertaste of cherry, mineral and tobacco. Best from 2019 through 2033.

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Jun 2015):

The 2011 Barolo Ravera does a terrific job of portraying the soft and rich side of the vintage with a slightly more accessible style. The wine opens to dark extraction and bright cherry flavors with spice, tobacco, black truffle, pressed rose petal and licorice. It shows a youthful, vibrant personality with a pristine varietal voice. If you are looking for an opulent, caressing Barolo, this wine fits the bill. The Ravera vineyard is planted to 50-year-old vines that hold up very nicely in warm vintages such as 2011. It has the natural structure and heft necessary for longer aging. (ML)

93 points Vinous (Mar 2015):

The 2011 Barolo Ravera emerges from the oldest vines on the property. Dark cherry, plum, spice, new leather and lavender swirl around the glass in a resonant, generous Barolo that captures the generosity of the year as seen through the lens of Ravera. In this vintage, the Ravera is an especially weightless and simply impeccable in its overall balance. Hints of leather, sweet spices add nuance on the soft yet energetic finish. There is so much to like here. (AG)

Domenico Clerico Barolo "Aeroplanservaj" 2008 set x 6 bottles 一套6種標籤,原木箱 RP95/WS92

HK$:
HK$3,480
HK$3,480HK$2,980

Domenico Clerico Barolo "Aeroplanservaj" 2008

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:

The 2008 Barolo Aeroplanservaj puts on a whole different act. Here, the emphasis is on elegance and finesse. The opulence and massiveness of the wine fits in with the Clerico philosophy, but unlike the Barolo Briccotto its strongest cards are played with a more subtle strategy. The aromas of black fruit and spice are wrapped a bit tighter, and the wine shows some nervous tension in the glass that needs to soften with age. I loved those delicate sprigs of mint and wild flower that somehow emerge from the inner depths of this rock-solid wine. Terrible mudslides in 2009 damaged the Badarina vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba and Clerico did not produce the Aeroplanservaj that year. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2030.

92 points Wine Spectator:

This is fresh and racy, with a base of granular tannins buoying the cherry, menthol and balsamic notes. Long and spicy, this is balanced on the tannic side. Best from 2016 through 2028.

Domenico Clerico Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra 2009

品種:100% nebbiolo. 年產 5500 支, 16 months barrique, constant tastings allow us to select the best barriques, then assembling barrel.
16 months in barrel (50 hL), +2 years bottles.

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Jun 2013):

One notch down on the intensity ladder is the 2009 Barolo Ciabot Mentin. Less obvious and definitely more flirtatious, this gorgeous wine playfully dangles subtle hints of licorice, dark fruit, anisette and Middle Eastern spice in front of your nose. They morph and transform into something new and unexpected with each swirl of the glass. There’s enough flesh here to keep the wine grounded, but there’s also enough tonic freshness to keep it from feeling heavy.

93 points James Suckling (Jan 2014):

A beautiful ripeness of fruit here with dried strawberries and sliced mushroom aromas. Full body, with polished and round tannins and a cedar, mahogany and dried berry aftertaste. Needs at least two or three years of bottle age.

93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (April 2014):

Medium red. Less roasted than the Briccotto, offering aromas and flavors of cherry, mocha, coffee and spices. Less fat and full in the mouth but shows more lift and energy. A bit youthfully clenched, but the wine's firm tannic spine and impressive length suggest it will be a beauty with a few years of aging. Despite being situated at high altitude, these are the first Barolo vines Clerico picks. The acidity here is a very healthy 6.3 grams per liter.

92 points Wine Spectator:

A fresh, vibrant red, whose eucalyptus, tea, cherry and leather notes are backed by dense, ripe tannins. Balanced on the firm side, with a coating of dusty tannins on the long finish. Give this some time. Best from 2017 through 2032.

18/20 points Jancis Robinson (Jun 2013):

Commune of Monforte d’Alba. Concentrated ruby with orange tinges. Balsamic fruitcake and cardamom skin. Fine cherry fruit with a layer of coating tannins. Intense, long and with a hint of vanilla. Quite spectacular and modernist but executed with huge skill.

HK$300

Giacomo Conterno Barbera d'Alba "Cerretta" 2009

產區:Alba, Piedmont, Italy

品種:100% Barbera, bottled in June of 2011

91 Points  Antonio Galloni: Deep ruby-red. Pristine, high-pitched aromas of black fruits. Seriously rich, with powerful acidity and strong alcohol giving shape to the almost candied blackberry, black raspberry and cassis flavors. A bit aggressive on the back end but this is a fruit bomb, from a yield of no more than 35 hectoliters per hectare.

91 Points Robert Parker: The 2009 Barbera d'Alba Cerretta is a huge wine bursting with dark red cherries, plums, sweet herbs, rose petal and all sorts of mineral notes. Smoke, ash and tar develop in the glass. The 2009 Cerretta is an intense, virile Barbera that needs at least a few years in bottle to drop some of its baby fat. The richness and depth are impressive considering this is only the second vintage Conterno has made the wine. Mineral notes develop on the finish, but the Cerretta is ultimately more about fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022.

Giovanni Corino Barolo Arborina 2009 (JS93,AG93)

HK$:
HK$400
HK$400HK$360

Giovanni Corino Barolo Arborina, Barolo DOCG 2009

產區:Arborina, La Morra

93 points James Suckling (Jan 2014):

This is very structured with firm tannins and beautiful ripe tannins that are coated with a tiny amount of new wood. Full yet refined. Beautiful structure.

93 points Vinous (AG)(May 2013):

The 2009 Barolo Arborina offers up freshly cut flowers, mint, sweet red berries and cloves. In this vintage, the Arborina shows more energy and drive than the Giachini, but a touch less overall sensuality and finesse. The higher percentage of sand in this vineyard gives the Arborina its characteristic high-toned aromatics. Firm, but nicely integrated tannins support the expressive, floral-infused finish.

Extremely fragrant, particularly for an Arborina, expressive sweet summer berry fruits with notes of earth and stone, underpinned by a solid
tannic framework. Rich, powerful but balanced. A west-to-south-west clay and sand-dominated vineyard. The wine is fermented and aged
in the same way as the Giachini; short maceration in steel tanks followed by malolactic and ageing in 50% new oak for 24 months, yet this
is so very different in style; often broader, more muscular.

The Corino brothers are the rising stars of Piedmont. Their wines are beautiful examples of La Morra Barolos. Perfumed, subtle and elegant with the balancing acidity and fine tannin that make them so complete. Giuliano emphasises: “Barolo doesn’t have to just be about power.’’ A tasting of some beautifully refined and fresh 1991s, over a decade on, would seem to full justify this statement. As of the 2004 vintage the estate has been split in two, Giuliano will produce wines from Arborina, Giachini and will continue to make a Vecchie Vigne. Renato, who has set up his own estate, will produce Rocche, Arborina and some Vecchie Vigne. The Giovanni Corino wines continue to remain in a beautiful floral, red fruited, elegant style.

HK$:

HK$230

La Spinetta Langhe Nebbiolo 2013

91 points Antonio Galloni :

The 2013 Langhe Nebbiolo is one of the best values in La Spinetta's lineup. The darker side of Nebbiolo comes through in this powerful, deep wine. Super-ripe dark cherry, spice, new leather and a kiss of French oak hit the explosive finish. Frankly, this is better than many Barbarescos readers will come across. Most of the fruit for the Langhe Nebbiolo comes from Starderi, in Neive.

Winemaker Notes: Typical light red of Nebbiolo with aromas of dried rose petals and dark fruits such as plums and blueberry. Full bodied, chewy and rich with dusty tannins and a juicy yet elegant finish.

The Rivetti brothers of La Spinetta have revolutionized the conception of long-ageing and gruesomely tannic Piedmont wines. Their range of Barolo, Barbarescos and Barberas are powerful yet forward and fruity. The modern style of their wines certainly makes Nebbiolos from the northwest corner of Italy much more approachable when young.

Italy’s first single vineyard Moscato d’Asti! From a 20ha plot of 25-30 year old vines grown in calcareous and sandy soils. Moscato Bricco Quaglia, brilliant peach and pear, remarkably refreshing...

No one makes a better, slightly sparkling Moscato than La Spinetta. They offer multiple single vineyard offerings, all of which are usually outstanding. A soft, rich version, offering a gentle mousse and flavors of rose, fresh grape and mint.

Winemaker Notes: Yellow color with green reflections. Sweet and sexy, dried apricots and crisp pineapple this wine surprises with its remarkable freshness and brilliant fruit flavors, bright acidity and a zingy finish drink young. Outstanding balance and a light sparkle make this traditionally dessert wine an appropriate choice for an aperitif or a refreshing splash with brunch.

Mascarello Giuseppe E Figlio Barbera d'Alba "Scudetto"  2011

產區:Piedmont, Italy 品種:100% Barbera

Appellation: Barbera D'Alba

Vineyard: The Scudetto vineyard is within the hamlet of Perno in Monforte d'Alba at 300m in elevation.

The 2009 Barolo Ginestra is a beautiful expression of Nebbiolo. This is a strong showing from the producer’s flagship vineyard. The aromatic tension and energy delivered reminds you that this is a young wine that needs more time to unwind and relax. But all the essentials are there: Licorice, tar, dried fruit, tobacco and a pretty addition of crushed spice or cardamom. 93 pts James Suckling:

You can smell the ripeness of the vintage with dried strawberry and orange peel character. Full body, chewy tannins and a savory finish. Rich and powerful. Drink or hold.

93 pts Wine Enthusiast:

Attractive aromas of rose, wild berry and aromatic herb lead the nose on this elegantly structured red. The bright palate offers crushed raspberry, juicy dark cherry, licorice and clove alongside firm polished tannins. A flinty mineral note energizes the finish. Hold for more complexity. Drink 2019–2026.

91 pts Wine Advocate:

Travaglini's 2011 Gattinara Riserva sees fruit sourced from the best rows of vines from various parcels located throughout the entire property. The wine is only produced in the best vintages. This is a more austere and structured wine with layered tones of black fruit, spice, licorice and campfire ash. There is a floral element of pressed rose petals that appears with delicate intensity at the back. In the mouth, this wine offers power and good structure.

Vietti Barolo Castiglione 2009

產區:Barolo, Piedmont, Italy

Winemakers' Notes: The Barolo Castiglione deftly balances the open, radiant personality of the vintage with considerable underlying structure. Warm, dense and full-bodied, the Barolo Castiglione flows effortlessly across the palate with generous fruit and fabulous overall balance. The grapes are selected from vineyards located in Castiglione Falletto, Monforte, Barolo and Novello where the vines are planed an average of 4.800 vines per hectare.

94 Points Wine Advocate - "The 2009 Barolo Castiglione delivers a radiant but subdued quality with polished notes of dry mineral, black fruit, tar, licorice, leather and many more levels of complexity. This entry-level Barolo demonstrates that great results are achieved in 2009."

92 Points Wine Spectator - "Features cherry and strawberry fruit up front, with tobacco and earth notes introducing the dense structure and licorice and leather flavors. Loosely stitched, yet harmonious and long. Best from 2016 through 2030."
