Azelia Barolo 2012
產區：Piedmont DOCG , Italy
品種： 100% Nebbiolo
93 Points James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, March 2016:
Wonderful aromas of spices and berries. Chili powder with plums. Chinese spices. Full body, ultra-fine tannins and delicious fruit. Pretty tannin and fruit tension. Drink or hold.
90 Points Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, March 2016:
Azelia's 2012 Barolo is fresh, floral and nicely lifted in the glass. Crushed flowers, sweet red cherries, spices, mint and rose petal lift from the glass in the 2012 Barolo. An excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years, Azelia's straight Barolo is all about balance and understated harmony. The style is gracious, perfumed and weightless, with pretty saline notes that give the wine its sense of proportion. This is one of the best straight 2012 Barolos I tasted. Fruit sources are 70% Serralunga and 30% Castiglione Falletto. The 2012 spent two and a half years in cask. Hail was an issue in Bricco Voghera, so Azelia did not produce a Riserva. All the best fruit went into the straight Barolo.
Barbaresco Produttori del Barbaresco 2010
產區： Piedmont, Italy
品種： 100% Nebbiolo
92 points James Suckling (April 2014):
Beautiful aromas of white truffles, plums and berries. HInts of spices. Full to medium body with fine tannins and beautiful licorice, berry and fennel seed. Very pretty length. Drinkable now but better in 2015.
91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (December 2013):
(as the Produttori has declassified its crus in 2010, there will be 28,000 cases of this blend): Tangy cherry and raspberry aromas are lifted by flowers and mint on the cool, inviting nose. Silky-sweet and floral, with lovely inner-mouth juiciness to its red berry flavors. Owing to the wine's moderate body and flesh, the tannins show a slightly dryness but the long, juicy finish offers enticing floral perfume. A lovely, sharply delineated Barbaresco at a very reasonable price.
Barbaresco Produttori del Barbaresco 2012 產區： Piedmont, Italy 品種： 100% Nebbiolo 93 Points Wine Spectator - "A graceful and detailed red, marked by ripe cherry, strawberry, floral and tar flavors, with the fruit intensity persisting on the finish, showing excellent length. This is well-integrated and just needs time for the tannins to soften. Best from 2018 through 2030." 92 Points Vinous / Antonio Galloni - "A big, powerful wine, the 2012 Barbaresco hits the palate with surprising depth allied to nervous tannins that are going to need time to soften. Tobacco, smoke, licorice, menthol, game and a host of dark, ferrous notes give the wine much of its virile personality. The 2012 is not as finessed as some recent vintages, yet it offers considerable potential for the future. Most importantly, it is a terrific value at a time when well-priced Barbaresco is increasingly hard to find. In 2012, the Produttori did not bottle their Riservas. When that happens, the straight Barbaresco is often an overachiever. That is certainly the case here, as the 2012 offers outstanding quality for the money, with plenty of potential for the future. I can't think of too many wines that deliver this much pleasure and value."
Barbaresco Riserva Muncagota, Produttori del Barbaresco 2011
產區：Piedmont, Italy (DOCG)
95 Points Wine Spectator - "All about finesse, elegance and a silky texture. Cherry, eucalyptus, licorice and spice flavors permeate the vibrant frame. The balance suggests you could enjoy this now, but there is a firm underlying structure. The terrific finish echoes the fruit and ups the ante with a chalky, minerally vein. Best from 2018 through 2032."
Barbaresco Riserva Pora, Produttori del Barbaresco 2008
產區：Barbaresco, Piedmont, Italy
品種： 100% Nebbiolo
95 Points Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate (203), October 2012:
Playing true to type, the 2008 Barbaresco Riserva Pora is another of the more open wines in this vintage. But that is only in relative terms. Layers of expressive red fruit, crushed flowers and spices flesh out in this radiant Barbaresco. In most vintages the Pora is one of the more accessible of the Riservas when young. The close proximity of the vineyard to the Tanaro River results in a warm microclimate that ripens the fruit earlier than elsewhere. In 2008, though, the Pora packs a serious punch. The coolness of the late harvest comes through in a finish laced with considerable tension and minerality. This is easily one of the very best Poras I have ever tasted from the Produttori. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2048.
Barbera d'Alba "Scudetto" Mascarello Giuseppe E Figlio 2010 產區：Piedmont, Italy 品種：100% Barbera Appellation: Barbera D'Alba Vineyard: The Scudetto vineyard is within the hamlet of Perno in Monforte d'Alba at 300m in elevation. Orientation: West, northwest 300m in elevation. Soil: Clayey-sandy, composed of brown clay and grey sand of marine origin, with the presence of pebbles and small skeletal particles. Viticulture: Harvested in the first two weeks of October. Vinification: Traditional-style, floating cap fermentation for 15/20 days. These estate-grown grapes are harvested from 60/70-year-old vines with low yields. Aging: The wine is then matured in French oak for approximately 18 months. Notes: The vineyard is named so because its' shape is that of a shield. The Italian soccer championship is also called the Scudetto. Wine Advocate (Galloni): Proprietor Mauro Mascarello makes some of the most compelling, traditional wines in Piedmont. Mascarello’s signature Barolo, Monprivato, rarely shows well when young, yet it has a proven ability to transform magically in the bottle, something I have witnessed first-hand with more vintages than I can remember. The irony is that by the time the wines start showing well they are long gone from the market or have appreciated dramatically in price.
Barbera d'Alba "Tre Vigne" Vietti 2015
產區：Barbera d’Alba DOC, Piedmont, Italy
Winemaking: The grapes are selected from three vineyard sites located in Monforte, Castiglione Falletto, and Castiglione Tinella with 5.000 vines by hectare. The vineyards are almost 35/40 years old. Grapes are selected from the 3 top vineyards of Monforte, Castiglione Falletto and Castiglione Tinella..
Aging: Mixed ageing between Slavonian and French oak and stainless steel tanks too.
Description: Ruby purple color with ripe red cherry aromas and vanilla. With hints of violets the On the palate it shows bright acidity, soft tannins with good integration of oak, good complexity and a lingering cherry finish.
Food Pairings: Antipasti, rich salads, grilled seasoned vegetables, hearty soups/stews, pastas or with breaded veal, pork, chicken with light sauces
Barbera d'Alba "Ceretto" Roberto Voerzio 2013
產區：Alba, Piedmont, Italy
90 points Antonio Galloni: The 2013 Barbera d'Alba Cerreto is absolutely delicious, and another reminder of just how special this vintage is for Barbera. In 2013, the Cerreto is a bit brighter than it usually is, with plenty of supporting acidity and fabulous overall balance.
Barolo Vigna Margheria Luigi Pira 2000
This entry-level single vineyard Barolo is a firm step up in quality with its velvety palate of aromatic cinnamon, crunchy crabapple and sweet core of orchard fruit compote. In addition to its delicious fruit, it offers lots of freshness, poise and lift.
Giacomo Conterno Barbera d'Alba "Cerretta" 2009
產區：Alba, Piedmont, Italy
品種：100% Barbera, bottled in June of 2011
91 Points Antonio Galloni: Deep ruby-red. Pristine, high-pitched aromas of black fruits. Seriously rich, with powerful acidity and strong alcohol giving shape to the almost candied blackberry, black raspberry and cassis flavors. A bit aggressive on the back end but this is a fruit bomb, from a yield of no more than 35 hectoliters per hectare.
91 Points Robert Parker: The 2009 Barbera d'Alba Cerretta is a huge wine bursting with dark red cherries, plums, sweet herbs, rose petal and all sorts of mineral notes. Smoke, ash and tar develop in the glass. The 2009 Cerretta is an intense, virile Barbera that needs at least a few years in bottle to drop some of its baby fat. The richness and depth are impressive considering this is only the second vintage Conterno has made the wine. Mineral notes develop on the finish, but the Cerretta is ultimately more about fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022.
Langhe Nebbiolo Roberto Voerzio 2013
產區： Piedmont, Italy
92 Points Antonio Galloni, December 2015:
Voerzio's 2013 Langhe Nebbiolo is another terrific example of the year. Striking aromatics give the 2013 much of its lifted personality. Sweet red cherries, crushed flowers, mint, citrus and white pepper are all beautifully sculpted throughout. This is an especially delicate wine that impresses with its poise and freshness.
Nebbiolo d’Alba Valmaggiore, Bruno Giacosa 2014
產區： Piedmont, Italy
Juicy red fruits dance on a brooding foundation of licorice, exotic spices, warm cigar wrapper, smoky minerality, and pressed flower petals in this approachable, pretty ’14 Nebbiolo d’Alba. Velvety and caressing, this wine snuggles the palate with chewy tannins, making for an elegant, enjoyable drinking experience. Giacosa sources this wine from old-vine Nebbiolo grown in prestigious vineyards by farmers with whom the estate has longtime relationships; it’s crafted to provide an early-drinking yet aristocratic version of the emblematic Piemonte grape.
Roero Arneis Bruno Giacosa 2014
Winemaker notes: Its delicate skin makes it one of the most recalcitrant varieties in Piedmont. Native to Roero, this grape was on the brink of near-extinction by the 1970s. Thanks to houses such as Vietti and the legendary Bruno Giacosa, it is still here for your enjoyment. Salute!
92 Points James Suckling: This is fantastic. Gorgeous acidity and minerality with dried pear and apple. Lemon and other ctirus undertones; hints of grapefruit. Full to medium body. Very long and fresh. You want to drink this in warm weather to freshen up.
Vietti Barolo Castiglione 2009
產區：Barolo, Piedmont, Italy
品種：100% Nebbiolo, 50326 bottles made.
Winemakers' Notes: The Barolo Castiglione deftly balances the open, radiant personality of the vintage with considerable underlying structure. Warm, dense and full-bodied, the Barolo Castiglione flows effortlessly across the palate with generous fruit and fabulous overall balance. The grapes are selected from vineyards located in Castiglione Falletto, Monforte, Barolo and Novello where the vines are planed an average of 4.800 vines per hectare.
94 Points Wine Advocate - "The 2009 Barolo Castiglione delivers a radiant but subdued quality with polished notes of dry mineral, black fruit, tar, licorice, leather and many more levels of complexity. This entry-level Barolo demonstrates that great results are achieved in 2009."
92 Points Wine Spectator - "Features cherry and strawberry fruit up front, with tobacco and earth notes introducing the dense structure and licorice and leather flavors. Loosely stitched, yet harmonious and long. Best from 2016 through 2030."
