Cloudy Bay Chardonnay 2014 

92 Points The Wine Advocate:  "The 2014 Chardonnay possesses beautiful purity of apricot and pink grapefruit aromas with nuances of baking bread, honeycomb and cashews. Medium-bodied with a commendably satiny texture, it has seamless freshness and a nice long finish."

91 Points Wine Spectator:  "Features creamy overtones to the lemon meringue and vanilla pudding flavors, with spice and floral details adding complexity. The finish is juicy and refreshing. "

90 Points Antonio Galloni: "Bright light yellow. Grapefruit pith, stone, spicy oak and a sexy touch of honey on the nose. Saline, brisk, grapefruity wine with serious energy and a complicating touch of sulfidey flint. Savory and nicely balanced. This shares a silkiness of texture with the Sauvignon Blanc but the latter wine is brighter and longer. Cloudy Bay will be going to lighter-toast oak with the 2015 to preserve local character. Operation winemaker Daniel Sorrell told me that he loves Burgundy and is moving in the direction of more feminine, structured, gently extracted wines."

An iconic wine from New Zealand's most iconic winery. Atypical for Kiwi Sauvignon, the Te Koko is fermented using indigenous 'wild' yeasts, and subjected to batonnage as it ages in oak.
