Carmen Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2012
#32 of Wine Spectator Top 100 @ year 2015 & Wine Spectator 91 pts
產區：Alto Maipo, Chile 品種：94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Carmenere & 3% Petite Verdot Wine Spectator 91 pts- "A rich, well-spiced red, with luscious flavors of tar, licorice and dark plum, supported by ample acidity and firm tannins. Offers a lip-smacking finish of dark chocolate and pepper. Drink now through 2019. Top Value Pick" The grapes come from old vineyards planted in the alluvial terraces of the Alto Maipo, extremely concentrated, and were handpicked. Sebastian Labbe, chief winemaker at Viña Carmen says that this wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. “It has an intense and deep ruby red color. The nose has aromas of currants, blackberries, sweet licorice and cedar notes that become soft and elegant. The palate is generous and rich yet fresh and vibrant again. The wine has plenty of fruit and firm tannins that give structure and depth”.
Folly Syrah Montes 2012
Folly Syrah, Montes 2012
產區：Santa Cruz, Colchagua Valley, Chile
品種：100% Syrah 97 points - James Suckling "Incredible wine with blackberry, dried meat, granite, spice, and blueberry character. Full body, super velvety texture, yet incredibly fine and long. Such finesse and balance. Clearly the benchmark for syrah in South America. So gorgeous to drink now but will age beautifully." - (May 12th, 2016) 93 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine: "Deeply flavored, rich and intense, with concentrated flavors of dark plum, raspberry, blackberry and chocolate mousse. Well-structured, featuring a long finish that oozes Asian spice and notes of hot stone and white pepper. Drink now through 2020. 500 cases imported." - KM (Feb 29, 2016) 90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even the Syrah, the 2012 Montes Folly, felt a little mainstream and shy -- not really showing much varietal character when poured. There is ripe fruit, black rather than red, and some balsamic aromas, quite oaky; after all, it spent 18 months in wood. The palate is full-bodied, juicy and round, warm with glossy tannins and a sweet, fruit-driven finish. 30,000 bottles produced." - Luis Gutierrez (Dec 2015).
