HK$550

Carnival of Love Mollydooker 2014

產區:Mclaren Vale, Australia

品種:100% Shiraz

#30 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2016

Luscious cherry, blackberry and plum jam fruit flavors marry together, forming this powerful yet elegant Shiraz. Made from a selection of McLaren Vale's premier grapes, its deep color and fragrant nose leads to quite a voluptuous palate of fruit intertwined with rich mocha, coffee and chocolate, with traces of licorice and toffee. Carnival of Love offers exceptional complexity while remaining balanced and delightful to drink.

95 Points, Wine Spectator - "Bold, expressive, velvety and generous, with ripe cherry and plum flavors at the core. Complex details of vanilla bean, licorice, Earl Grey tea and gingerbread explode on the long finish. Drink now through 2030. "

95 Points, Tasting Panel - "Shiraz in all its glory! Black currants, blackberries, mulberries -- you name it; licorice, spice and lovely structure; a stunning wine that keeps on giving."

Clarendon Hills Blewitt Springs Grenache 2005 (ST93,RP91)

HK$:
HK$300
HK$300HK$270

Clarendon Hills Blewitt Springs Grenache 2005

93 points Stephen Tanzer International Wine Cellar (Oct 2007): Deep ruby. Explosive raspberry, blackberry and blueberry scents, along with suave Asian spices and fresh rose. Mouth-filling red berry flavors offer impressive clarity and silky texture for such volume. Velvety tannins add shape to this dense, strikingly sweet fruit bomb. I would be tempted to drink it now, just to wallow in the seductive fruit.

92 points Wine & Spirits (Oct 2008) :This has the dried grape skin character of an Amarone, but with a completely different flavor. Peppermint oil, sour cherry and strawberry scents emerge out of an initially black attack. The underlying earthiness will match short ribs.

91 points Robert Parker Wine Advocate (Oct 2007): The 2005 Grenache Blewitt Springs is leaner and more structured than the Hickinbotham.

91 points Wine Spectator (Oct 2007): Smooth and ripe, with pomegranate and red cherry fruit at the core and a strong overlay of peppery spice. The slightly gritty tannins need cellaring, but this should get there. Best from 2009 through 2015 .

ABOUT THIS VINEYARD

This is a Premier Cru vineyard that, by definition offers a perfect balance of roundness and approachable enjoyability in the short term- however has all the structural components and balance to comfortably cellar for decades. Within the Premier Cru vineyard calibre, each bottle indemnifies its owner with wines that balance short term enjoyment with future decades of pleasure. The site itself is located in Blewitt Springs and was planted in 1920. Old vines provide very small, thick skinned berries and this is evident in the natural expression from this vineyard.

Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 (RP92)

HK$:
HK$280
HK$280HK$240

Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

** This wine forms part of Clarendon Hills’ ‘Grand-Cru’ classification.

92+ points Robert Parker: The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Hickinbotham offers the most saturated color. The aromatics feature Asian spices, violets, and incense along with expressive black fruits. Structured and tannic, bordering on austere on the palate, it is a muscular, brawny effort that will require 6-8 years of cellaring to become approachable.

94 points Vinous : Opaque ruby. Powerful aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, smoky minerals, lavender and Indian spices. Deeply concentrated, palate-staining dark berry and bitter cherry flavors are framed by chewy tannins and pick up strong spice and floral notes with air. Still quite young but already expressive, finishing with lingering notes of sweet dark berries and candied flowers.

Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham Syrah 2005 (WA97,WS95)

HK$:
HK$430
HK$430HK$380

Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham Syrah 2005

97 points Robert Parkers Wine Advocate (Oct 2007): The 2005 Syrah Hickinbotham Vineyard is opaque purple colored with aromas of crushed rocks, toasty oak, tar, licorice, bacon, blueberry, and blackberry. Muscular and large in scale, it will profit from a decade of cellaring and drink well through 2030. (JM)

95 points Wine Spectator (Oct 2007): Big, rich and juicy, with plum, blueberry and a range of sweet spices. The fine tannins wrap around the generous mouthful of flavors, which linger powerfully. A touch of coffee adds interest, and the finish just doesn't quit. Best from 2010 through 2020.

94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Sep 2007): Saturated purple. Powerful boysenberry, blueberry and licorice aromas are complicated by an amaro like herbal bitterness, with a vanilla and mocha undercurrent adding another element. Broad, sweet and penetrating dark fruit flavors possess stunning density, with palate saturating depth and power. Do you drink this or eat it ? This displays a compellingly balanced shock and awe personality uniquely its own another otherworldly example of this producer's style.

Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham Syrah 2006 (WA97)

HK$:
HK$430
HK$430HK$380

Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham Syrah 2006

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Feb 2009) : The 2006 Syrah Hickinbotham Vineyard combines a voluptuous flavor profile with enough ripe tannin to evolve for 6-8 years. Drink it from 2015 to 2031. 97+ (JM)

94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Oct 2008): Opaque violet. Initially brooding nose quickly opened to display powerful raspberry, kirsch and violet scents. Vivid red and dark berry flavors are corralled by nervy minerality and silky tannins, with anise and rose pastille notes building on the back end. Blends depth, sweetness and finesse with a deft hand, finishing with mounting sweetness but no candied character. Pretty cool stuff. (JR)

ABOUT THIS VINEYARD : Part of Clarendon Hills’ ‘Grand Cru’ classification.

The Hickinbotham family are instrumental players in Australian wine history, and Alan Hickinbotham bought this estate in 1960.

Clarendon Hills sources wines from this stately vineyard to produce a single site Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and old-vine Grenache – all detailed by the Hickinbotham family name. Richly compact soils provide depth and a vineyard unique signature across the varietal spectrum. Highly elevated in the sub district of Clarendon - the vines ripen later than most and develop individuality as a result

Clarendon Hills Onkaparinga Grenache 2007 (JH94)

HK$:
HK$360
HK$360HK$330

Clarendon Hills Onkaparinga Grenache 2007 **This wine forms part of Clarendon Hills Grand Cru classification. 94 points James Halliday: “While the colour is slightly more developed than the ’07 Kangarilla Grenache, here the wine is in balance; spice and red berry aromas are followed by a complex palate, adding a touch of forest to the overall expression. Will be long lived if the cork permits.” James Halliday Wine Companion, 2011 93 points eRobertParker.COM: “My favorite of the 2007 Grenache cuvees is the 2007 Grenache Onkaparinga. Aside from being the most approachable, it has the most enticing perfume with its notes of underbrush, incense, lavender, black cherry and blackberry liqueur. Velvety but with some underlying tannin, it has succulent fruit, impeccable balance, and a lengthy finish.” Jay Miller, eRobertParker.com, 2009

Clarendon Hills Romas Grenache 2007 (WS93,WA91)

HK$:
HK$420
HK$420HK$380

Clarendon Hills Romas Grenache 2007

93 points Wine Spectator: Firm, slightly gritty in texture, giving way to pure, focused black currant, plum and spice flavors. Weaves in a touch of tar on the long, expressive finish.

91 points Wine Advocate: The 2007 Romas Vineyard Grenache has a medium garnet-purple color and moderately intense dried cherry and mulberry aromas with some spicy fruits of the forest compote and dark chocolate notes. Crisp, concentrated and very spicy on the palate, it offers a medium level of chewy tannins and a long opulent finish.

91 points Wine Enthusiast: The rare Australian Grenache you might consider cellaring for more than a couple of years, the 2007 Romas features dark, plummy fruit accented with hints of coffee and chocolate. It’s full bodied and richly textured without being overly astringent, with a long finish. Drink 2012–2020.

ABOUT THIS VINEYARD:
The Romas Grenache site  is located in Blewitt Springs and was planted in 1920.
The 'Romas Grenache' is the steepest, most elevated section of the Blewitt Springs Grenache vineyard.
its uniquely special characters warrant its isolation and quarantine from the lower part of the Blewitt Springs vineyard.
This patch sits at 280 metres above sea level and is approximately 7 Kms to the ocean.
It enjoys a perfect due East aspect on a hillside that in some places reaches above a +40˚ slope gradient.
The old vines struggle to survive on a steep rock hill face with yields a microscopic 0.5 tonne / acre.
Each of the Blewitt Springs, Romas and Onkaparinga Grenache sites are planted on the same hill side. The Blewitt Springs and Romas patches are due East facing and the Onkaparinga site is at the uppermost hilltop/crown area but is western facing. All sites are within 200 metres of each other and offering special and individual expressions.
These vineyards are globally unique - the unparalleled combination of 95+ year old, pre phylloxera vines planted in the oldest geology planet earth - surveyed at 1600 million years old ;produces rare and exotic exhibitions of Grenache, not seen anywhere else in the world.
Underneath these old vines are primordial, ancient formations. There is a complete lack in nitrogenous matter available for plants/vines seeking nutrient and this results in extremely limited growth capabilities (Romas vines are approx 30 cm tall and each site produces less than 1 tonne / acre.
The environment has effectively reduced the output potential of these vines. The rich and ancient minerals present in the root zone of these special 95+ year old vines also impart rare physiological components to the vines and excellent grapes are a result.

D'Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2002 (JH94)

HK$:
HK$400
HK$400HK$330

D'Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2002

產區:McLaren Vale, South Australia

94 points James Halliday (Oct 2004):

Clean and quite fragrant; abundant blackberry and dark chocolate fruit; controlled extract and good balance.

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Oct 2005):

After re-tasting the 2002 The Dead Arm Shiraz, I believe my initial rating is correct. It still plays it close to the vest, exhibiting loads of cassis, asphalt, smoke, and barbecue spice-like aromas along with full-bodied flavors.

92 points Wine Spectator (Dec 2004):

Rich, complex, but not at all heavy-handed, a plush, heady mouthful of black cherry, blackberry, menthol and a wee touch of forest mushroom, all mingling in a rich finish that lasts and lasts.

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Jul 2004):

Bright full ruby. Varietally expressive aromas of currant, espresso, smoke, gunflint and sexy oak, with a distinctly feral note. Highly concentrated, dense and smoky, with a strong Syrah note of gunflint. Broad, mouthfilling Shiraz with lovely framing acidity, intriguing minerality and impressively sweet tannins.

2

Elderton Command Shiraz 2003 owc (RP94,WS94)

HK$:
HK$390
HK$390

Elderton Command Shiraz 2003

94 points Robert Parker (Oct 2006): While the deep plum/ruby/garnet-tinged 2003 Shiraz Command is slightly less nuanced than the 2002, it is just as powerful and full-bodied, offering copious quantities of fruit, glycerin, tannin, and muscle. This chewy, rich offering appears to be on a faster evolutionary track than its 2002 counterpart. Give it another 2-3 years of bottle age, and consume it over the following 12-15.

94 points Wine Spectator (Aug 2007): Big, ripe and generous. This is a plush mouthful of cherry, spice and mineral flavors that rush on the finish, managing to stay in perfect balance. Has depth and grace. Best from 2009 through 2018.

93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Aug 2006): Saturated ruby. Rich, oak-spicy nose shows liqueur-like boysenberry, candied plum and kirsch aromas, plus a good whack of vanilla. Outsized and thick, with dense, sweet dark berry flavors and an almost viscous texture. And yet this massive wine comes across as energetic and surprisingly elegant. The long, sappy finish features powerful dark berry liqueur flavors that won't quit.

HK$350

Glaetzer Anaperenna 2013
產區:Ebenezer, Barossa Valley, Australia
品種:84% Shiraz, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon

Age of vines: 30 - 100 year old Shiraz, 30-130 year old Cabernet
WA 94  Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2013 Shiraz Cabernet Anaperenna is intensely scented of cassis, crushed blackberries and black cherries with hints of cedar, cloves and anise. Full-bodied and full-throttle on the flavors, it fills the mouth with primary black fruits and baking spices, supported by grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long.

8

Glaetzer Godolphin 2005 (JH95, RP93)

HK$:
HK$410
HK$410HK$360

Glaetzer Godolphin 2005

95 points James Halliday (April 2011) :Deep purple-red; achieves lusciousness, length and intensity of flavour without resorting to excessive alcohol; great balance and mouthfeel; very good length and equally well-balanced oak.

93 points Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate:

"The 2005 Godolphin, a blend of 80% Shiraz (from 85-year-old vines) and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon (from 60-year-old vines), was aged in 100% new oak, primarily 300-liter French hogsheads. It represents a beautiful marriage of power and elegance, displaying an inky/blue/purple color as well as notions of black raspberries, blueberries, graphite, and sweet pain grille. Ripe, pure, and medium to full-bodied with sweet but noticeable tannin, it can be drunk now or cellared for 12-15 years."

94 points Wine Enthusiast (Nov 2007):

A blend of 80% Shiraz and 20% Cabernet, this rich, almost Port-like wine also shows a slight herbal note - enough to give it some lift and complexity. It’s inky black in color, imbued with layers of dark fruit so deep they threaten to suck you in before being lightened ever so slightly by hints of vanilla and spice. Long and lush on the finish. Greenock Creek Alices Shiraz 2005

HK$:
HK$450
HK$450HK$398

Greenock Creek Alices Shiraz 2005

產區:Barossa, South Australia

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Feb 2009):

The 2005 Alice's Shiraz spent 28 months in seasoned American oak hogsheads. Aromas of smoke, asphalt, meat, game, truffle, and blueberry soar from the glass. On the palate this full-bodied Shiraz is velvety-textured, layered, spicy, and richly fruity. While not quite as riveting as the 2004 edition, it has enough structure to evolve for several years and should drink well through 2025. Greenock Creek Vineyard & Cellars, owned by Michael and Annabelle Waugh, remains one of South Australia's iconic wineries. Start with a great terroir, add in old vine material and meticulous winemaking, and end with extraordinary results.

93 points Wine Spectator (Oct 2008):

Dense, chewy and distinctive for its chocolate-scented plum and blackberry flavors that linger on the open-textured finish as the tannins seem to lighten up. Has a peppery, minty note on the finish.

John Duval Entity Shiraz 2014

前奔富首席釀酒師 John Duval rose to winemaking fame as the craftsman of the mighty Penfolds Grange, before going it alone to further forge his reputation as a maker of great Shiraz. The aim of The Entity is to produce a wine true to the region. Rich and complex it shows ripe, spicy fruit characters with a complex savoury oak influence framed by fine lingering tannins.

產區:Barossa, Australia

品種:100 % Shiraz, sourced from old vineyards in the Krondorf, Eden Valley and Marananga regions.

熟成:100% barrel matured for 15 months, with 35% new fine grain French oak hogsheads (300 litres) and the balance in 2, 3 and 4 year old hogsheads

Winemaker : Dark fruit expression of blackberry and plum, gives way to some lifted floral notes and savoury, spicy French oak. Full bodied and generous with excellent concentration of blackberry fruit. Textured layers of fruit, balanced acidity and fine, long tannins will enable good cellaring potential.

96 Points James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion - "From old vineyards in Krondorf, Marananga and Eden Valley, open-fermented with submerged cap (header board), matured for 15 months in French oak (35% new). Succulent, rich and powerful, with predominantly black fruits and some spice. The hallmarks are its supple mouthfeel and effortless balance."

93 Points Wine Enthusiast - "Dark berry and plum fruit dominates, but hints of mint, vanilla and cedar add interest. Somewhere between silky and velvety, this full-bodied, richly textured Shiraz finishes long and appears to have the tannic structure to age well, though it's delicious now.

A true reflection of Barossa’s soil and climate, Plexus expresses complex aromas and flavors combining red and dark fruits with savory notes. The palate is framed by youthful fine tannins and subtle savory French oak adds structure and complexity. 93 Points Wine Spectator: "A sophisticated, spicy mix of date bread, cherry compote and clove flavors. Plump and velvety, with persistence and harmony on the finish. Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2026." 92 Points The Wine Advocate: "Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Plexus (a Shiraz, Grenache. Mourvèdre blend) is a little youthfully reticent, offering glimpses at black raspberry and mulberry aromas plus licorice, cracked black pepper, earth and lavender. Medium to full-bodied and still very primary in the mouth, it has a great intensity of red and black fruit flavors supported by ripe, rounded tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy."

HK$:
HK$380
HK$380HK$320

Kay Brothers Block 6 Shiraz 2006

產區:McLaren Vale, South Australia

The Block 6 vineyard dates back to 1892. Over 110 years later four acres still remain, cropping at extremely low levels, the fruit is of extreme quality. The wine is an excellent example of a big, rich & brooding McLaren Shiraz. After basket pressing & fermentation in open top fermenters built in 1896, the wine is matured for over 2 years in new American & Baltic oak producing intense flavour & great longevity. A wine which will reward patience well.

95 Points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (erobertparker.com)

The Block 6 Shiraz comes from centurion vines plated in 1896. The 2006 Block 6 Shiraz has a very deep garnet color going a little brick in the rim and an evolved, earthy / gamey nose with notes of mulberries, dried plums, kirsch and tobacco plus menthol, cinnamon stick, licorice and espresso. Rich and full yet elegantly constructed, it presents a medium level of very fine tannins, crisp acid and a long layered finish. A very fine glass now, it should continue to cellar to 2019+.

93 Points James Halliday:

A dark, brooding wine of rather large proportions, but put together with aplomb; at the core there is an abundance of sweet fruit, and the structure is dense, tannic and chewy and requires a little time to soften; should reward patience well.

Mitolo Savitar Shiraz 2006 (WA94)

HK$:

HK$300HK$260

Mitolo Savitar Shiraz 2006

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate( Oct 2007) : The 2006 Shiraz “Savitar” was aged in 100% new oak, predominantly French. Purple-colored, the aromatics are a bit reticent initially, but soon scents of toasty oak, tar, licorice, scorched earth, and blueberry emerge. This leads to a wine which is more structured and less opulent than its peers. It will evolve for a minimum of 8-10 years and drink well through 2040. As a point of reference, the 2002 Savitar (rated 95) was presented. It is considerably more developed aromatically but still has a significant distance to travel prior to reaching its peak.

93 points Vinous (Sep 2008): Inky violet. Powerful dark berry liqueur and cherry-vanilla on the nose, with sexy floral and incense qualities adding complexity. Broad and juicy, with deeply concentrated blackberry and boysenberry flavors, supple tannins and slow-building anise and sassafras on the back. Generous but focused shiraz with excellent finishing energy and persistence. Still quite primary, but there'd be no crime in drinking this after giving it an hour or so in a decanter.

90 points Wine Spectator( Mar 2008):  Firm in texture, with lively blueberry and wild blackberry flavors poking through a layer of fine-grained tannins, finishing with real refinement. 350 cases imported.

92 Points Australian Wine Companion - "A young release for an ageworthy style, this is not a wine to be judged in haste. Tightly coiled and focused, it takes some coaxing to tease out vibrant red cherry and plum fruits from a subtly gamey core. Tannins are well structured for a promising future."

91 Points Wine Spectator - "Fresh and vibrant, with juicy blackberry and plum fruit, playing against tart balance and finishing with intensity. A pleasant mineral note adds to the aftertaste. Drink now through 2025. "
